5 1/2" primed MDF baseboard — this is the trim we use on probably 80% of our remodels. It's the right size for most rooms, takes paint well, and looks clean without being over-the-top.

Profile: Colonial / Craftsman / Flat / Ranch --  Primed white and ready to paint — doesn't need sanding or priming before you cut and install. Nail or glue to wall.

Worth knowing before you buy:

•       MDF absorbs moisture — avoid using it in bathrooms or anywhere that gets wet. Use PVC or solid wood in those spots.

•       Add 10-15% to your linear footage measurement for cuts and waste.

•       Measure room perimeter and subtract door openings to get your net linear footage.
